The DREAMSCAPES
style is very relaxed. Very spontaneous; fast and
loose.
We are storytellers. We tell stories about weddings. Persons,
places and things. A flowing plot.
We happen to use images instead of words to tell our stories. We
sell storybooks...
to make people happy.
Our style is very improvisational. It's much like
jazz - only with images rather than music.
The pace is very fresh, upbeat and fun. Our clients
always expect the unexpected
with DREAMSCAPES. And they have a real blast with
us as we spend the day together.
Fun wedding photography? Is that actually possible? A
huge, outrageous YES!
It's important
to us that we get to know our clients before even picking up
a camera.
Ours is a totally custom service and product. We photograph
each event according to
the nature of our clients. By the time of the wedding,
we're comfortable friends.

We photograph
many, many images as each event unfolds in its own special way.
Typically, hundreds of images are captured. We
are pre-visualizing your story...
as we shoot. PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR WEDDING DAY COVERAGE
IS
TOTALLY UNLIMITED! No film limits. No time
limits. No limits on the number of
locations that we travel to. We invest the entire
day/night to tell your story.
Probably 90%
of our work is true candid photography.
(Currently known as "photo journalism". Subject not
aware of camera.)
Basically, we're a "fly-on-the-wall" - capturing all
of the emotion-packed natural realism
as it occurs. This is contrary to traditional wedding photography
where the
photographer is constantly orchestrating everything throughout
the day.
Also within this candid/journalistic realm are atmospheric, ambience
images...and
scores of sensitive details illustrating precious little items
that all to often go unnoticed.
That leaves
the 10% (or less) images that involve some form of "posing".
Basically, our poses have 2-different forms:
1) Natural, "unposed looking". We modify
the rules of classical portraiture posing.
After we apply our unique DREAMSCAPES
"spin", the results are famous!
This style is used on most of the various
family, friend and wedding party groups.
Also, the bride & groom. Together
and individually.
2) Highly stylized poses. These are fun/elegant
"high fashion" poses similar to what
you might find in bridal fashion
magazines. A trifle outrageous & cutting edge.
These are typically limited to
the bride & groom and/or wedding party.
Used sparingly to "juice
up" the look and feel of your wedding story.
We include
an extremely helpful consultation session about one week before
the wedding. We'll go over everything photographic
in great detail.
We'll discuss any specific requests that you might have. Also,
we'll explain how
we break down the above 10% posed images into 3-brief stages. This
way, the
posed images are done very quickly; they don't drag on &
on. We'll agree on
the timetable for those posed images. Who, what ,
when? You'll receive notes that
you will take directly to your rehearsal dinner to discuss with
your "key" people.
Why all of this? Because we're not at all pushy; instead
we're organized.

After 23 years,
we still love the challenge of telling our next wedding story
in a refreshing new way. We photograph weddings because

teachers in today's wedding photography industry.
